The Cutting Garden Workshop
6th & 7th August
We are delighted to be able to bring you a 2 day Workshop based on creating and using a Cutting Garden.
On the first day, you will learn the tips and techniques of when to pick flowers from the garden and how to condition them, and tips on what to grow for flower arranging through the seasons as well as foraging advice.
You will create a floral bouquet and a stunning table centrepiece using British grown summer flowers under the expert guidance of Florist, Sarah Williamson-Jones of Pod and Pip.
On the second day you will hear from Garden Designer, Katharine Van Etten on where and how to create your own cutting garden at home, with a hands on workshop on designing your garden. Florist Lizzie Fairrie of Puggs Meadow Flowers will provide an insight into how she has created her Cut-Flower Garden and provide tips and current trends for creating your own.
After lunch we shall travel to Puggs Meadow to explore the beautiful cut-flower garden, and create a posy under the guidance of Lizzie.
Both days are informal with a maximum number of 10 places available. Tea and coffee will be provided on arrival, and each morning and afternoon, along with a seasonal lunch. The venue is being held at the award winning beautiful barn style village hall in the village of Horton, near Wimborne, which is fully accessible with plenty of free car parking on site.
(Please note: Once booked, places are non refundable (unless the place can be reallocated)
